USE OF AR IN EDUCATIONAL SECTOR
Technological innovations are spiking to new heights, catering to every sector. Use of technology in educational institutions is also gripping the trend to help the students learn the best and perform better in the future. Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality are being widely used by schools to virtually show the students how things look like in actual world, through which they get to know how things actually function. Augmented Reality makes the learning session more fun and engaging, it increases the level of learning interest in students because student don’t only get to read the theory but also virtual shape of product that they can analyze.
Augmented reality is relatively cheap
compared to artificial intelligence because it doesn’t require any glasses,
sensors and expensive equipment rather it only needs mobile phones, internet
connections and apps from the app store. There are several different AR apps
available that allow the students to place things in the classroom from their
phone and examine them. The outcomes of using AR are very positive because
students get to know about their interest early by looking deep into the things
and their functionality. So, this helps them in choosing their related field in
the future.
The techniques used for teaching in most
parts of the world are really boring and students don’t really understand why
they are studying and what impact that subject will have. On theory basis
students get nothing and only focus on passing the subject. While if AR is
implemented it will change the overall educational system, it will remove the
hefty bags and all the paperwork, the only thing it will require is smartphones
and apps over it. Teachers will also get benefits because they will know what
students wants and what they have interest in, which field is better for them
in the future.
Fields of Doctorate and Engineering will
get great benefits if they learn from the AR system. Doctors study from the
book and then they perform practical, if we remove the book from the bottom
and implement AR systems with designated software related to medical students
will be able to fully examine the body parts, how each part function. By this
they will be able to understand the problems and can easily come across its
solutions because everything is virtually available in front of them. For
engineers, they will know how the prototype will look like or if they want to
manufacture somehow, they will understand how each component is made and what
it takes to complete a component. They will know where to install what and how
to assemble it. Companies can also use this system to train their employees how
to operate a specific equipment like in car industries they are using AR system
to tell the employees this is how machines will work and assembly happens.
Because of AR system they save time and increase efficiency to get more output
in return.
If developing countries that are poor are
far behind in research and innovation implementing these new technologies then
they will only have a chance to survive in the future. Countries like Pakistan,
Bangladesh and some African countries that have no name in the field of
research in the past couple of decades can get benefits from these. They should
start the implementation at schools’ level to check capabilities of students
where they are good at and then decide their future and put them into a better
and related field according to their interest. Give students lectures on
physics and chemistry through Augmented reality apps to tell them this is how
things work instead of forcing them to just learn the theory. If countries
adopt this method of teaching, then in next 20-30 years, they will produce some
great researchers because teaching the kid from day one what he likes will give
him confidence and knowledge to take it further and in return do.
Some research and come up with something
that no one ever did. And through this he will have a name of himself and the
country on world map.

this would improve the education sector so much...
ReplyDeletei wish my school used AR to teach us lol
ReplyDeletetechniques they use are boring, agreed
ReplyDeleteeducation would be interesting with these
