JAMES WEBB TELESCOPE

Telescopes have played a vital role in the study of space and Earth as these telescopes help in studying more depth of Earth from the space along with the its atmosphere and are used in order to get better and clear view of space, stars and galaxies, telescopes collect data in the form of pictures, videos or in the form of observations from the space and send back to the base from where they are launched.

 

Everyday work is done to bring new technology and innovation around us in case of space study NASA is above all, NASA have been doing its work for a long time and they brought us different studies of Earth and other planets in the Universe since the time they are working on this, this year just a day before Christmas NASA launched its one of the biggest project, innovation of the decade under the name of James Webb Telescope, James Webb Telescope is one of its kinds and is meant to be revolutionary  for space projects, it was launched from South America with the help of Ariane 5 and is successfully set into the orbit which will help to reach its final destination minimizing the fuel cost and it is expected that it will take almost a month to reach its remote destination which is one million miles from the Earth.

 

James Webb Telescope is said to be the most powerful telescope till date it has capability of detecting the last signature of heat of a bumblebee at the distance of Moon and it has such a huge mirror measuring 6.5 ft. in diameter consisting18 hexagonal segments of gold-coated beryllium metal and it was so large that it required to be folded in order to get fit into the rocket itself, this telescope is said to be reason of transforming the ways and methods we use today to study the universe.

 

James Webb Telescope is capable of gathering the infrared light from the different galaxies that has already crossed 13.6 billion light-years and it will be seeing as they were 13.6 billion light years. Astronauts say the collision of universe took place 13.8 billion light years but we hope this telescope might change many concepts which exist today for space world. James Webb Telescope is said to be the successor of previously launched telescope in 1990 Hubble Space Telescope which scientist believed will bring the reality, though it helped in many areas to study the Universe but this JSWT will bring the reality much closer due to the huge time investment and heavy testing before its official launch was made this year.

 

This telescope was made with the help of European and Canadian space agencies with the cost of $8.8 billion and adding its operational cost will mark up the total cost of $9.66 billion which is more than the expected cost when NASA planned to launch this telescope back in 2011. NASA is expecting to launch its operations officially from summer 2022 as it will take time to open up its all instruments there and they have planned to launch the initial pictures which will be taken by this James Webb Telescope and this telescope is set to work for 10 years.

 

James Webb Telescope will bring a major change in perceptions of Universe and its study which scientist have done so far now. These new technologies bring revolution to us and educate us in order to get better understanding of the surrounding atmosphere and about the history that how this universe was formed and how early creature before the humans have been living here.

 

James Webb Telescope will also help in studying the existence of Aliens and their worlds and it is expected that enough information will be gathered in the time span of 10 years that it will bring the reality closer and will help identifying the undiscovered objects of universe, but for let us wait for the final reach of the telescope and hope it all will go as planned.
