META

What made Facebook (company) to change its name which was already performing well in the targeted market as it acquired major social apps; Instagram and WhatsApp. Facebook’s founder Mark Zuckerberg is not setting his limits to social media apps only, as current trend of market is already being shifting towards technology and world is moving in new dimension and many other companies in different sectors have accelerated in technology by adapting new technology and making their products more user friendly and added benefits and value.

Core concept of Meta was to expand the operations of Facebook (previous name), as Meta will not be restricted towards social media apps only but they will be opening physical stores soon, even though Meta is not first tech company selling their apps and opening physical stores in market. One good example of such companies is of Apple and Samsung; these both have physical stores located in different regions of world where customers can actually come and test the newly launched technology and can experience in real factors, Apple and Samsung owns App Store and Play store respectively through which apps are being sold/provided to customers.

Apart from social media apps, Meta also has virtual reality technology which they currently are selling through third party but with the opening of their own stores they will be selling their products directly to customers as Meta is focused to take lead in tech industry, even though current targeted market of its product is niche market but they are about to expand their operations. For Meta it was not possible to operate in all the desired domains under Facebook’s name and it was hard to get their goal achieved which is to expand their product line by introducing new technology.

Meta is also working with Ray Ban, a renowned brand for making glasses. Meta is collaborating with them to introduce new technological glasses as these glasses will allow customers to click pictures and record videos through their glasses. It is not some sort of secret photo or video records but to just make sure that customers can have smooth experience and they could record their special movements without any hustle and without missing any moment in time which normally people take while recording from smartphone.

 These devices are gateway for Meta to introduce Metaverse effectively in market as virtual reality and augmented reality are fun experience and more memorable and enjoyable for the customers because it just adds a whole new experience to customers and through the success of these products Meta is thinking to further introduce their secret products in market. What sort of products these can be? How they will benefit Meta and consumers? To know exactly we have to wait a little until Meta officially launches their physical stores in world. The main aim of Meta and their stores is to make the world “more open and connected”. As this virtual reality system is not just limited to play virtual games and watch movie but this new technology will also allow customers to interact, exercise and even to do their work in virtual world which seems quite interesting despite the conflicts between Meta and Apple.

 Meta’s virtual reality is also focused towards education sector and is not restricting in gaming, meeting friends in virtual world, with advanced technology Meta is also targeting students and teachers for their technology as this experience will allow students to learn with virtual reality more effectively because this allows them to walk through different eras of past (hundreds of years ago) and in future too where they could experience how world will look like in future or how they see their idea in future by looking  into them with the help of virtual and augment reality.

 Meta is the next chapter for tech freaks and for overall internet as various companies like Microsoft have already adopted Meta, other than that few of games have already experimented Meta which is quite positive outcome, Zuckerberg also announced that GTA San Andreas will be available in VR.

 For now, we all have to wait for actual plans of Meta and execution on those plans which concerns with the advanced technology.
